Best Views of the Chicago Skyline
If you are like me and you love looking at city skylines, Chicago has a beautiful skyline to see.
If you’re looking to simply get a beautiful view or want photos with the Chicago skyline, here are some places to visit.
North Ave Beach
North Ave Beach is right by Lincoln Park Zoo, but it’s right by the lake. It has a walkway that extends out to the lake where you can get the most beautiful view of the city skyline. This spot is a famous spot for engagement photos and I can understand why.
Highly recommend photos here at sunrise or sunset.
Lincoln Park Zoo
Lincoln Park Zoo is more than just a zoo. Take the nature board walk to the bridge or the honeycomb and you’ll see a beautiful skyline view. It truly makes for beautiful photos or just a beautiful view.
I especially love this area because you can walk around or sit at the nearby park and enjoy nature. It’s also very close to the lake (walking distance).
Navy Pier
I think Navy Pier goes without saying. It’s a great place for friends and family—local vendors and a children’s museum. There are often shows there too!
If you want, get on the Ferris wheel for an extra view of the city.
Montrose Park
This beach front is further north from downtown but still offers a beautiful skyline nonetheless. You also get the beautiful blue lake. The park has plenty of greenery where you can sit, picnic, or walk on the trail. Highly recommend this view at sunrise or sunset.
31st Street Beach/Oakwood Beach
This beach is located more south of downtown. I’ve not stopped here but I’ve drive past this beach front and the view of the city skyline is definitely beautiful. If you want a different view of the city skyline, check out these viewpoints.
360 Chicago or Skydeck
If you want a full view of the city, definitely get a ticket for 360 Chicago or the Skydeck. I would recommend going around sunset or evening if you want beautiful skies or city lights.
Either way, these high views, I think, give a lot of depth to the city.
Even though I’ve been here for a few months now, the skyline is still amazing to me. I love seeing it even if I’m just driving around, and I especially love it when I’m out at a park.
Though I love waterfalls and mountains, city skylines are also beautiful in their own ways.
If you make a stop at one of these places, definitely be camera ready!
