Things to do in Seattle | 2 Day Itinerary for Seattle
Seattle is a beautiful city. The nearby cities are also worth visiting. My favorite thing about Seattle is that it’s so close to so many hiking trails and mountains. Planning a trip to Seattle? Here are some things you can do.
I took a trip to Seattle and was there for 2 full days. Just within that weekend, I was convinced I can see myself living in Seattle. That means it’s pretty special.
Here is my full itinerary for the 2 days:
Hampton Inn Suites in Bellevue: This is where we stayed for our entire trip. It’s only a short 15 drive into to Seattle. We stayed in the King Suite. It was spacious for 3 people. There’s complimentary breakfast which is always a plus in my book. There’s also parking available for guests and is conveniently located near the highway, Target, and Trader Joe’s.
Dirty Harry’s Balcony Trail: Located near North Bend, just a 30-35min drive from Seattle & Bellevue. When we went it was foggy and drizzling but the view was still beautiful, nonetheless. I can only imagine what it looks like on a sunny day!
Pike Place Market: This is a local farmer’s market in downtown Seattle. It is a MUST VISIT!! We loved this market. It is where you will find the original Starbucks and the infamous gum wall. There is also local artisans, local restaurants, vendors, and shops. It’s such a cool place to visit.
Pike Place Chowder: AMAZING chowder & soup! A MUST-TRY!
Rattlesnake Lake Park: This park is just a sight worth seeing. Go when the tides are low, and you’ll see tree trunks sticking out of the lake. It’s eerie but so cool. There’s no lifeguard on duty, but on a warm day you can take a dip or explore the lake. There were free life jackets available when we visited.
There is the Rattlesnake Lake Trail and the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail if you want to do some walking.
Chinatown/International District: If you’re looking for some unique shops and great food, this is a great place to visit! They have local coffee shops, restaurants, and even karaoke bars.
We also visited Daiso which is always amazing in my book. (Who doesn’t love Daiso? LOL).
Baegopa - A Korean BBQ place. Great price & great food!
If you have more time, here are some additional places to visit:
Space Needle Tower: An observatory deck to see all of Seattle. It also has a rotating restaurant.
Discovery Park: A recreational area that has hiking trails and beach views.
Visit a Museum: Seattle is another city with rich history and full of art. Go visit a museum while you’re there! A few recommendations: Museum of Pop Culture, Tropical Butterfly House, Chihuly Garden & Glass
And if you have an extra day or 2 to spend, visit a national park! Seattle is surrounded by 3 national parks: Mt Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic. All with their own unique views and mountains.
Seattle has so much to offer. I love that even surrounding cities have their own unique touch to add to the county.
I think Seattle is definitely worth visiting if you’re thinking about where to go next. I hope you found this helpful!
